Academic Club of Dietetics

About Us

The main activity of our club is based on conducting research in the field of human nutrition. Our number one goal is to popularise knowledge about rational nutrition. If you share our motto “prevention is better than cure” – join us! Together, we will study and promote healthy eating!

How does it work?

Our actions and goals:

  • Integration of  students around issues related to nutrition, dietetics, and gastronomy (also in the inter-cultural perspective).
  • Expanding our knowledge by studying the latest scientific data in the field of modern nutrition and tourist dietary trends.
  • Organisation of meetings to work on papers for conferences and seminars.
  • Organisation of study trips.
  • Co-operation with other clubs and student organisations in Poland.
  • Organisation of student scientific conferences.
  • Conducting scientific research and co-operation   within  faculties  by academic staff of the University.
  • Publishing articles and research results (especially in “Studenckie Zeszyty Naukowe”).
  • Proposing  monographic lectures.

  • Diet for a Green Planet Webinar 2020

In the webinar you will listen to presentations from representatives in Södertälje, Sweden, with 10 years’ experience of implementing Diet for a Green Planet. They will cover

• the criteria of the concept,

• its benefits to health, climate and environment,

• how it promotes sound agricultural practices,

• how it has been implemented, and

• practical examples of challenges and solutions in converting to Diet for a Green Planet.

• There will also be opportunities to interact, ask questions to the presenters and discuss with other participants.

  • Make the snack healthy again 2021

We let the students prepare the snacks which were:

– Palm balls: it consists of grounded dates blended with cacao powder and coated with shredded coconut.

– Wasa snack: cheese is spread on the wasa and topped with cherry tomato and some seasoning.
