Occupational practice

Internships are obligatory for first-cycle studies (full-time and part-time, for the majors: Tourism and Recreation and Dietetics) and on second-cycle studies (full-time and part-time, for the majors: Tourism and Hospitality)

Please, check during which semester you are obligated to make a practice and how many hours you have to complete. You may seek a work placement by yourself or use one of the offers provided by the Career and Practices Department.

Organizational and didactic supervision over student internships is exercised by the Internship’s Coordinator of the relevant Faculty.

Internships take place under conditions permitting direct implementation of adequate practical activities by students. Internships can be done as:

I. BASED ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP IN POLAND

BEFORE COMMENCING PRACTICE

Step 1: Print out the following documents.

  • Contract about organizing student’s occupational practice – 2 copies DOWNLOAD
  • Referral for occupational practice – only if it is required by the employer before establishing cooperation with you DOWNLOAD
  • Daily Report DOWNLOAD
  • Certificate of completing occupational student practice DOWNLOAD

Step 2: Submit 2 copies of the contract to the employer for signature.

Step 3: Submit 2 copies of the contract signed by the employer to the Career and Practices Department* to obtain the signature of the Faculty Supervisor of Occupational Student Practice.

Step 4: Submit the signed contract to the employer.

AFTER THE COMPLETION OF PRACTICE

Step 5: Submit documents signed by the employer to the Career and Practices Department (not later than 3 weeks after completing the internships):

  • Certificate of completing occupational student practice
  • Daily Report

II. BASED ON WORK OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN POLAND, CONSISTENT WITH THE DIRECTION AND PROFILE OF STUDIES

Internship can be realized in the form of employment in the position consistent with the requirements of the internship program under a contract of employment, employment relationship or a civil contract. Internship also can be realized in the form of work placement or voluntary service if it is in line with the requirements of the internship program or in the form of conducting business activity relevant to the field of study.

Step 1: Print and submit the following documents to the Career and Internship Department:

  • Application for credit for professional student internships based on professional activity and the student’s declaration along with information regarding the achieved learning outcomes included in the professional student internship program – to be completed by the student DOWNLOAD
  • The employer’s opinion regarding the course of employment or other professional activity*(attach a copy of the contract) – completed by the employer DOWNLOAD
    *Attach a copy of your employment, volunteering, or internship contract
    *If you run your own business, attach confirmation of registration from CEIDG or KRS
