Vistula University remains a leader in educating foreign students

According to the report “Foreign students in Poland 2023”, Vistula University is a leader among universities educating foreigners. The list was prepared as part of a program implemented by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and the “Perspektywy” Educational Foundation.

5,958 foreign students studied at Vistula University in the 2022/2023 academic year. It means an increase of 1,035 people compared to the previous year.

Internationalization is a flagship element of our image. It is a response to the needs of students and one of the important conditions for the development of our university.
An international atmosphere, diversity and multiculturalism are the great potential of Vistula.
Foreign students bring their energy not only to the University. The local community benefits from their diverse skills and qualifications.

Vistula University educates students from over 100 countries. It offers a wide range of studies in English, also online, although some foreigners decide to study in Polish.

According to the “Perspektywy” Educational Foundation number of foreign students in Poland exceeded 100,000 for the first time in the 2022/23 academic year. They currently constitute over 8.61 percent of total number of students in our country, which means that we have reached the European average in this respect.
Europeans are most likely to choose studies in Poland, accounting for over 72 percent all students. The second group are people from Asia – 16.5 percent.
The largest, dominant group at Polish universities are students from Ukraine and Belarus, for whom a short distance, Poland’s membership in the EU and cultural proximity are of high importance.

The “Foreign students in Poland 2023” report is based on unpublished data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), the Integrated Information System on Higher Education and Science POL-on, the own research of the “Perspektywy” Educational Foundation, as well as data from international organizations OECD, UNESCO, and Project Atlas.
