Plein Air 3 – Exhibition of Architecture Students’ Works at Vistula University

We warmly invite you to a unique exhibition titled Plein Air 3, showcasing the creative works of Architecture students from Vistula University. The vernissage will take place on 15th January 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Ursynów Culture Centre “Alternatywy,” located at 9 Indira Gandhi Street.

The exhibition will run until 28th February 2025 and will be available for viewing on the second floor of the “Alternatywy” Culture Centre as well as in the gallery near the lecture halls at Vistula University. This is a remarkable opportunity to explore a wide range of talents and the artistic sensibilities of young creators.

This is the third edition of the initiative of presenting the effects of an artistic plein air workshop involving students from the Faculty of Computer Science, Graphics, and Architecture who have completed their first year of studies. The plein air workshop took place in the summer of 2023 in picturesque areas of Warsaw, including:

  • The Park in Powsin,
  • The gardens of the Wilanów Palace,
  • The Royal Łazienki Park,
  • The Old Town,
  • The modern city centre of the capital.

Students employed a variety of artistic techniques, ranging from pencil sketches and large ink drawings to vibrant watercolour paintings of flowers and landscapes. The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to observe and interpret the beauty of nature and the richness of architectural forms within urban spaces. Each student had the chance to select their best works and arrange them on a single board.

The entire creative process was overseen by experienced mentors:

  • Arch. Dorota Wejchert, PhD Eng.,
  • Lilia Ostrouch, MA.
