The next edition of the “Vistula Compasses” competition has begun

The Vistula School of Hospitality is pleased to announce the launch of the next edition of the “Vistula Compasses” competition, aimed at recognising graduates who have achieved professional success
in the broadly understood field of hospitality – in tourism, hotel industry and HORECA, the meetings industry, dietetics and related sectors. These graduates are the best ambassadors of our universities
– their careers reflect the real impact of our education and its practical, career-oriented profile.
The competition is open to Polish and international graduates of the following institutions: Vistula School of Hospitality, School of Tourism and Recreation, College of Hospitality, Gastronomy and Tourism in Warsaw, College of Tourism and Recreation named after M. Orłowicz in Warsaw, College of Tourism
and Hospitality in Łódź, the Tourism and Recreation programme at the Vistula University of Finance and Business and Vistula University, as well as the Tourism and Recreation programme at the College of Economics and Computer Science. The partners of the competition are: the Polish Chamber of Tourism,
the Polish Chamber of Hotel Industry and MPI Poland Chapter.
The “Vistula Compasses” are awarded in two main categories and one additional category:
- Vistula Compass – for graduates with at least five years of professional experience,
- Vistula Compass – Rising Star – for graduates with less than five years of professional experience,
- Vistula Compass International – for international graduates developing their careers outside Poland (regardless of length of service).
The competition consists of four stages:
- Stage I – open call for candidates: 24.11–21.12.2025
- Stage II – nominations: 29.12.2025–07.01.2026
- Stage III – acceptance of nominations and submission of competition documents: 08.01–06.02.2026
- Stage IV – selection of finalists and winners: 23.02–06.03.2026
The application process is two-step. In the first step, candidates may be submitted either by themselves or by third parties – other graduates, academic staff or employers. Then, the nominated person who accepts the nomination submits the complete set of competition documents. The announcement of winners and the award ceremony will take place by 1 May 2026.
We encourage you to nominate individuals whose attitude, commitment and professional achievements set the direction for the development of the tourism and hospitality sector.
