Sustainability week 2025 at Vistula Universities
We have only five years to save nature and people, warn the creators of the 15th edition of the WWF Living Planet report. That is why, each of us should join in building a sustainable future. We encourage all our students to join the Sustainability Week organized by Vistula Universities on May 5-9, 2025.
What is sustainable development? It means maintaining full balance between the three factors of civilization progress, i.e., economic, social, and ecological. It is a way of “managing the planet in such a way that it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future gnerations to meet their own needs” (Report of The World Comission on Environment and Development: Our Common Future).
Sustainable development means community-oriented thinking and action. Implementation of sustainable development goals can take place both at the level of the state but also on the level of individuals. It is about supporting the building of a better world.
Vistula Universities consistently promote sustainable development in their activities, educational programs, scientific research, management and organizational solutions. The Sustainability Week is an important element of our strategy. The next edition of this event will feature inspiring workshops and panel discussions with the participation of many experts and leaders from various fields.
The program will include the following topics:
